Sandra Lou Halupa, 86, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away August 24, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1938 in Elwood, Indiana the daughter of Roscoe and Mable (Tyndall) Gardner. Sandy loved sports, the Chicago Bears, the Colts, Hoosiers, and was a big Cubs fan. She was a woman of faith. Her family was everything to her and she truly devoted herself to them. She also enjoyed dancing and won many contests in her younger days.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Penny (Jimmy) Slavey, Dino (Susan) Halupa, Timi (Tim) Shipley, Kenny (Robin) Halupa; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; devoted friend, Roma Donaldson.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Halupa, Sr.; brother, Danny Gardner; sisters, Mona Wells, Nancy Rosenquist.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 - 2:00 Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
