Sandra K. Pickett

Sandra Kay Pickett, 69 of Kokomo was welcomed into God's arms on May 25, 2020 at her residence. She was born to the late Harold Taskey and Barbara Atkins on January 25, 1951. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved taking time out of the day to play with the kids in the neighborhood and to work on everything in her yard from flowers to her precious assortment of ornaments displayed in her home and yard. She was married to the late Terry Lee Pickett from 1968 to 2009. They had three children, son Terry Joe Pickett who passed away on March 13, 2017, and two surviving daughters of Kokomo, Lucinda Townsend (Ryan), and Tonya Winchester. Her grandchildren include Kyle and Makenna Pickett of St. Louis, Missouri, Cody Beaver of Kokomo, and Cassandra Beaver of Santa Rosa, CA, Jensen Pickett (Miranda), Kokomo, Jared Winchester, Kokomo, former daughter-in-law Christina Beers, former son-in-law Chad Beaver, former son-in-law Tim Winchester, two great grandchildren Hunter and Catherine, step grandchildren Kristen Townsend, two step great grandchildren Karson and Layla, and two God great-grandchildren Caiden and Addy whom she loved to give gifts to and play with. Also surviving are two brothers Mike and Samuel Taskey and one sister Sally Reed and several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. Preceding her in death are two brothers Roger and Phil Taskey. A Celebration of life for Sandra will take place at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center Webster Chapel on Wednesday June 17, 2020 at 11am with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. A time of gathering for friends and family is between 9 and 11am. Inurnment of Sandra will follow at Sunset Memory Garden cemetery.
