Sarah Jo Schindel

Mrs. Sarah Jo Schindel, 89, passed away October 9, 2019 after an extended illness. She was born in Noblesville IN on February 28, 1930 to Clay and Ivabell Dill. She is Survived by her beloved husband Marvin Schindel, son; Stephen (Janet) Schindel, daughter; Terri Schindel, grandchildren; Jeremy (Micheal) Gibson, Sierra (Kyle) Vanatti, Christopher Schindel and Michael (Kaylee) Schindel, great grandchildren; Alyksandr Gibson, Maverick Gibson, Gannon Gibson, Phoenix Vanatti and two sisters. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, son Gilbert Schindel, two brothers and one sister. She was a graduate from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in teaching. She was a lifelong member of Lutheran Church of our Redeemer where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren which brought her great joy. Visitation will be Monday October 14th 10:00 – 1:00pm at Lutheran Church of our Redeemer 705 Southway Blvd. East, Kokomo. Funeral Service will be the same day Monday October 14th 1:00pm at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens following the funeral service Pastor William Allison will be officiating.
