March 23,1977 – July 14, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Sean Curtis Paul, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world on July 14, 2025, at the age of 48. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact will be felt forever.
Sean was born on March 23, 1977, in Kokomo, Indiana to Curt and Kimberly Hatfield Paul. From a young age, he brought joy, strength, and light to those around him. He carried those gifts throughout his life, sharing them with everyone he met.
On November 14, 2017, he married Tennille Renee Whaley on Smathers Beach in Key West, Florida. They shared 7 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was built on love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they raised a beautiful family and created a home filled with warmth and unconditional love. Their favorite pastime was cruising together.
As a father, Sean was proud, patient, and present. He cherished every moment with his children, Emily (Gavin) Campbell, Addison Delanie Paul, Aiden Curtis Paul, and never missed a chance to offer a word of encouragement, a listening ear, or a hug when it was needed most. His children, his wife, and their dogs, Cooper and Rosco were his world, and he was theirs. One of his greatest joys was being able to coach his kids in baseball or softball.
He was also a beloved son to Curt and Kimberly Paul, and a cherished brother to Jackie (Jeremy) Shelton.
Sean was a member of The Fairfield Christian Church and was baptized in 2014.
His family was his foundation, and he carried their love with him every day. He was very involved in family and always there to offer a helping hand on anything needing to be done.
Since the time Sean could read a tape measure, he worked alongside his dad at Paul’s Drywall. Together they built a business that served the community for the last 49 years.
Sean was known for his sense of humor and his generosity. He would give you the shirt off his back and walk a mile to give it to anyone who needed a helping hand, and he lived his life with integrity and kindness. Whether helping a neighbor, cheering from the sidelines, or simply enjoying time with his family, he touched lives in the most meaningful ways.
He is survived by his loving wife Tennille (Whaley) Paul; his children Emily Ann (Gavin) Campbell, Addison Delanie Paul, and Aiden Curtis Paul; his parents Curt and Kim (Hatfield) Paul; mother-in-law Lue Ann Whaley. His sister Jackie Jo (Jeremy) Shelton; In-law Traci (Buddy) Williams, Christina Whaley, Todd (Jill) Whaley. Nieces and nephews Braylin Jo Sheefel, Isiah Shelton, Taylor (Alec Bohuk), Lane, Samuel, Katherine Williams, Claire Orcutt, Ava and David Whaley. Aunts Vicky James, Kimberly Ryan, and uncles James Paul, Brett Paul, and Randy Hatfield. As well as many extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents David and Shirley Hatfield, Jesse Paul, Velma Buckner, Gordon Harrington, cousins Louie Pyle, Jason Hatfield and father-in-law David Whaley.
A public visitation will be July 19, 2025, from 3-6 pm at Fairfield Christian Church 1476 CR E 400 S Kokomo, Indiana 46072. Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 6:00 pm. All who loved Sean are welcome to attend and honor his memory.
Sean leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories we shared and the lasting mark he left on each of our lives.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
