Sharon R. Catron

Sharon R. Catron, 77, Venice, Florida, formally of Kokomo, IN passed away, peacefully on February 11, 2022. She was born on December 26, 1944 in Kokomo, IN, the daughter of Weldy C. and Esther Baldwin (Stone). On November 16, 1963 she married Russell (Joe) Walters, who survives. Sharon and Russell had two daughters, Jodi and Jonie. Later, she married James Catron, who also survives.

Sharon retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Abundant Life Church and still enjoyed watching pastor Charlie’s sermons online, after moving to Florida. She loved to play cards, especially Hand and Foot and was very talented in crafts and cake decorating. She also enjoyed collecting angels and spending time with family, friends and her dog, Copper.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Jodi Schafer (Kevin) and Jonie Kennedy, both of Venice, FL; stepson, Linke Catron (Salena) of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Kristen Lewis (Rex), Mycah Schafer, Ashley Amick, Zak Amick; great-grandchildren, Liam, Reagan, Jobie and Ruca; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
