Sharon Lou Secrest

Sharon enjoyed golfing with her husband, Jim, and their friends. They would take trips to Hilton Head and French Lick to play golf. She loved being outdoors in nice weather and enjoyed bird watching. Sharon loved animals, she always had dogs and when she got older she adopted 2 cats that she adored.

While living in Kokomo she met so many wonderful people who became her friends. They all loved when she would come out to visit them. She looked forward to watching her son-in-law play pool on Mondays, it was the highlight of her week. She found a new family in all of the people at Stella's bar, her best friend Stella was always there for her. She leaves behind her children and grandchildren that she loved dearly. She will be missed by many.

Sharon is survived by her children, Kimberly (Mike) Grady of Farmington, NM, Angela (James) Host of Kokomo, IN, Brooks (Lynn) Secrest of La Jolla, CA, and Stephanie Secrest of San Francisco, CA; her grandchildren, Christopher (Kara) Courtney, Sarah (Saul) Gangloff, Marcus Gangloff, Christina (Christopher) Trauhber, Drake Bastin, Marshall (Kristen) Tobin, and Laurel Tobin, 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Roberta (Les) Perkins and Nikki (Paul) Mercer.

In addition to her parents Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, James Secrest, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, 1 sister, and 1 brother.

A graveside service for Sharon will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Lewisville Cemetery, Lewisville, IN 47352.
