

Shirley Maxine McCauley, 57, of Kokomo, passed away on February 6, 2026. She was born on February 28, 1968 in Kokomo, she was one of five daughters born to Dewey Max Lytle and Shirley Sue (Murphy) Lytle.
Maxine graduated from Kokomo High School in 1986. She worked most recently for Community Howard Regional Hospital as a rehabilitation technician. In the past, Maxine also worked for Delphi and worked occasionally at Rupert's B&K. She was a member of the UAW #292. Maxine enjoyed swimming, spending time at the beach, and singing. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, her family, and her dog, Ollie.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Kayla McCauley; son, Steven McCauley; grandchildren, Grace Redding, Easton McCauley, and Eli Lowe; siblings, Polly (Benjie) Francis, Tammy Lytle, Vanessa Scott, Shannon (Ron) Good; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; a great-great niece, a great-great nephew; and many cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Kevin Scott.
There will be a time of visitation for Maxine on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, IN. A private burial will follow to Sunset Memory Garden.
