Steve J. Streit

Steve was born on May 28th, 1952 in Aurora, IL to his parents Clarence and Carol (Barker) Streit.

Steve married Susan Kirkwood on April 5th, 2008 in Kokomo, IN

He is survived by his loving wife Susan, sister Martha (Ed) Jarka, daughters Christine Major and Alyssa (Garrett) Beall. Steve is also survived by many loving extended family members.

Steve graduated from East High School of Aurora in 1970 and went on to receive his Associates degree from Waubonsee Community College in Applied Science and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Aurora University. He worked as a real estate agent with FC Tucker over the last six years. He enjoyed golfing, watching baseball, reading, and traveling with his family, especially to Lake Michigan. Steve was very personable, compassionate, and caring. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Carol Streit.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Services will be Saturday January 13th, 2018 at 1:00pm with visitation from 11:00am at Main Street United Methodist Church (830 S Main Street 46901) with Pastor Duane Carlisle officiating. Burial will be Private.
