Susan Jane Burns

Susan "Susie" Jane Burns, age 78, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 12:31 AM at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born January 4, 1946 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Norman and Mary (Conaway) Burns.

Susie retired from Community Howard Regional Hospital after 43 years of employment. She enjoyed quilting and she belonged to the local sewing guilds. They would make quilted items to donate to non-profit organizations. Susie also loved attending sewing retreats and going to quilt shops. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her son, Robert (Marilyn) Burns; daughter-in-law, Angie Burns; grandchildren, Shannon (Jeremy) Irmeger and James Rodenbarger; great-grandchildren, Ivy and Von Irmeger; nephews, Steve (Debbie) Kincaid; and great nephews, Matt Kincaid and Nick (Raegen) Kincaid.

Preceded in death is her parents; son, William "Bill" Burns; and sister, Judy Kincaid.

There will be a time of visitation for Susie on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Graveside service will follow to Geetingsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Susie's memory to the Glioblastoma Foundation, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
