

Susan Kay Skidmore, 60, left this life on Earth, Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016. She was born in Kokomo to Bobby R. Glassburn and Zonia R. (Smith) Glassburn. April 23, 1977, she married Art Skidmore in Kokomo, and he survives.
She graduated from Lewis Cass High School in 1973. Susan was a caregiver for 19 years with REM-Indiana, then later worked for OPG and Comfort Keepers. She showed kindness and compassion for all those she encountered and cared for. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Clara Kelly, her grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Mazee.
She is survived by her mother; her ex-husband and friend, Art; daughters, Lisa Skidmore, Kokomo, Jenny Short (fiance Chris Schwartz),Tipton; sister, Janet S. Lugenbeal (Gregory Mack), Kokomo; brothers, George R. Glassburn (Shirley), Cloverdale, and Joseph D. Glassburn (Linda), Young America; and many nieces, nephews, and two new great nephews that she loved dearly, Easton and Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her father.
She will be forever missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, with Pastor Tony Manis officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and also from noon to 1 p.m. Monday.
