Teresa René Hart

Teresa René Hart, 49, was called Home by God on September 3rd, 2018. She was born on July 8th, 1969 to Thomas "Skip" and Sheryl McGovern, in Kokomo. Teresa graduated from Kokomo High School, class of 1987, then went on to attend Indiana Business College to become a medical assistant. She also attended IU for 8 years to explore nursing. After 20 years of being a phlebotomist, she went to school to be a Certified Public Accountant.

Teresa married Bill Hart on May 12th, 2001 at Camp Tycony.

Teresa played softball, and enjoyed bowling. She led Girl Scouts for a number of years. She enjoyed painting with her mother.

Teresa was a sister of the Tri Chi Sorority. She and her family were long-time members of Brookside Free Methodist Church, and she taught children's Sunday School for many years there. Teresa watched out for her parents and family. She had a very spirited heart, and was a very determined person. Anything she set her mind to, she could achieve. Teresa will be loved and missed by her friends and family.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 17 years, Bill Hart; her parents, Skip and Sheryl McGovern; twins William "Tommy" and Megan Nicole; step-daughter Samantha Renée (Josh) Hurley; brothers Rodney and Shawn McGovern; several nieces and nephews; and special dog Lily-Bug.

Teresa is preceded in passing by her grandparents.

Friends and family may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday September 6th at Brookside Free Methodist Church, 190 East 400 South Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7th at 11:00 AM, also at the church. Pastor Doug Benham will officiate. Teresa will be laid to rest at Albright Cemetery following the service.
