

Thomas Jay Minor, 65, Kokomo, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born June 7, 1949, in Kokomo, to Thomas A. and Wanita (Merrell) Minor. On July 10, 1999, he married Ronica (Rayn) Minor, and she survives.
He was a disabled veteran having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He attended Brookside Free Methodist Church and was a member of VFW Post 1152, the American Legion, and 40 et 8.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, William Thomas (Megan) Minor, Florida; four daughters, Stacy (Fred) Edwards, April (Luke) Morgan, Faith (Derek) Kingery, and Ronda Minor; one step-daughter, Jacquline Valentino; nine grandchildren, Johnny Edwards, Molly Minor, Rielly Minor, Brynna Minor, Annabelle Morgan, Dillon Kingery, Jaiden Minor, Christopher Young, and Areyah Young; five step-grandchildren, Connor Thrasher, Ethan Smith, Carina Valentino, Emma Morgan, and Ethan Morgan; and two sisters, Mary (Gary) Anthony, and Kim (Dan) Ralston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Teresa Minor.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastors Doug Benham and Jeff Hightower officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
