William Rogers Jr.

Danny was the father figure, Chico was the life of the party and Deacon William is God Fearing. William worked for Continental Steel and retired in 1984. He was a Deacon of the City of Refuge Church of God in Christ in Kokomo, IN. In his free time William liked to go fishing, watching the Cowboys football team and listen to old school music. William was a chef and cooked at a variety of places including the Country Club, Hardees, County Line and Denny's. William will be greatly missed and loved by his family and a host of friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Keena (Keith) Hughes, Earlonda Rogers, Earlana Rogers, Toyia Rogers, Mia Comer, and Sonya (Pastor Willard) Harris; sons Danta (Tracy) Rogers, Darryl Comer, James (Monica) Comer Jr., and Vanize Pendergrass; 39 grandchildren, and 55 great grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his parents William and Mamie Rogers; daughter Tina Rogers; sisters Nina Cunningham and Judy Beard; and grandchild Myqueal Rogers.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 10 am till noon at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster St. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 pm with Pastor Harry Beard. The family is asking all guest wear a mask for the services.
