William Tanner Sturch, 93, passed away on February 4, 2018 at Waterford Place. William was born to William and Ida Sturch on July 8, 1924 in Pangburn, Arkansas. William raised 5 children with Margaret (Ross) Sturch. William worked at General Tire in Wabash for 29 ½ years. He later married his wife of 27 years, Reverend Io Agnes Garlitt, and together, they served in Wabash Church of God. Io passed away on August 10, 1998. William enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He crafted mantel clocks. William was a man of God. He will be missed by his family and friends.
William is survived by his companion of 20 years, Veda Allen; children Bill (Julie) Sturch, Bruce (Susan) Sturch, Don (Carla) Sturch, Brenda (Bruce) Linkenhoker, and David (Siobhan) Sturch; 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
William is preceded in passing by his wife, Io; 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00PM Thursday, February 8th at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9th at 11:00 AM. Pastor Brad Swain will officiate. William will be laid to rest at Albright Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be directed to In His Image Church.
