Yukiko Emily Young

Yukiko Emily Young, 79, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017. She was born February 21, 1938 to Seisaku Miura and Harue Ishida. She married her husband Kenneth August 29, 1970 in Kokomo. He survives her.

Yukiko was a long term resident of Kokomo and served 26 and a half years at Delco Electonics, retiring in June of 1999. Yukiko became a US Citizen November 26, 1968. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, Macromay, gardening and gambling.

Yukiko is preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

She is survived by her daughters; Johanna Hayes (Tracy Brookins) Leesburg, IN, Angie Vallee (Scot) Morgan Hill, CA, sons; John Young (Cheryl) Tipton, IN, Donald Young, Warren, MI, brother in laws; Jack Young and David Young, sister in law; Kathy Thompson, neice; Jenny McGinn and granddaughter Katelyn Hayes.

Funeral Services for Yukiko will be Monday, December 4, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel; 3400 South Webster Street at 1pm. The family will offer visiting hours between 11a.m. and 1p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please make a contribution in Yukiko’s honor to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
