

Andree G. Joy, Age 93, passed away peacefully Friday 13, 2020 at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home in Omao, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.
Andree was born in Nice, France September 30, 1927 to Robert Icardo and Jean Baptistine Millo Icardo. She was raised in Nice, France. She married Robert E. Joy, a veteran of the Battle at Normandy, on November 3, 1945, in Nice, France. She lived the greater part of her life in Taunton, Raynham, Attleboro, Carver and Tewksbury, Massachusetts. She was a jewelry designer for Swank Inc. She relocated with her son and daughter in law to Kauai five years ago. Continuing with her life long love of art, she displayed her watercolors at Kauai Society of Artists at Kukui Grove Center. Andree loved to write and published her memories of WWII years, “As I Remember”.
Preceded in death by: parents, Robert & Jean Baptistine Millo Icardo, husband. LTC Robert Joy (Retired).
Survived by: son, Patrick & daughter in law Patricia Joy, Koloa, HI, John R. Joy family, Vermont, cousin Nancy Bernard, Massachusetts, relatives in France, Sweden and LaReunion.
Celebration of Life Mass on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM
Urn burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts Section 39 Site 865. When travel is safe after the Pandemic is under control.
