Joseph "Joe" M. Blackstad of Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on July 25, 2014 at the age of 84. Born on June 15, 1930 in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii. He was a heavy equipment operator & mechanic and served in the United States Marine Corps. Preceded in death by : wife, Lillian Ruiz Blackstad; parents, Axel & Hattie Blackstad. Survived by: wife, Mary Blackstad, Waimea; daughter, Joelyn (Michael) Major, Washington; son, Joedy (Ana) Blackstad, Washington; daughter, Marie Skinsky, Missouri; daughter Talma (Eaton) Rivera, Kekaha; Anchala Kealoha, Honolulu; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister Tootsie Kajiwara, Waimea; brothers Stanley (Mickey) Blackstad, Honolulu, Robert "Bobby" Blackstad, Missouri; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
