

Thomas Hugo Jordan, 65, of Kauai, died on May 7, 2025, oceanfront in Poipu, as per his wishes. He was born on July 3, 1959 to Hugo Otto Jordan and Gertrude Hildegard Klassen in Germany. He attended university at LMU in Munich where he studied economics and geography and belonged to the fraternity Corpus Hubertia. He completed his mandatory German military service at the NATO Headquarters in Belgium. His passion for travel led him to a career with Club Med, where he met the love of his life in 1989 in Morocco. Together, they continued to travel and work with Club Med before marrying on Oahu in 1993 and eventually settling on Maui to start their family. In 1994, he began what would become a 30-year career with Marriott. Known for his dedication and leadership, he worked across various departments before serving as the General Manager at several esteemed properties, including the Manor Club in Williamsburg, Virginia and the St. Kitts Beach Club in the West Indies. He concluded his career as the General Manager at Kauai Lagoons, Kalanipu‘u, retiring in 2024. A true cosmopolitan, Thomas lived and worked in 14 countries. He was a passionate adventurer and an all-around sportsman, but above all, he was a devoted family man of great integrity.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Anne-Marie Jordan, their three children, Alexandra Marie, Kai Thomas, and Max Coleman Jordan- their multicultural partners, and his first grandchild, Isla Calypso. He is also survived by his loving sister, Christine, his nieces and nephews and their children.
