On July 23rd, we said goodbye to a beautiful, loving person. Jacqueline (Jackie) Jackson was with us for 77 years and in that time shared her bright, cheerful smile and loving hugs with everyone she knew. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Jackie was born in San Diego, California on September 29, 1938. The daughter of late Daniel and Lydia Lairsey, Jackie shared her love of music through choir and piano. Jackie was known for having a beautiful voice and a cute, infectious laugh. After meeting at an art class, Jackie married the love of her life, Dale, on August 1st, 1971, at her sister Dianne’s house. Jackie instantly became the proud and loving mother of 3 rambunctious boys, who admired her and loved her greatly. Jackie continued to show her love and affection throughout her life to her family and everyone she knew. This August 1st, Jackie and Dale would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. Dale smiled when thinking back about how thoughtful Jackie was to remind him each year of their upcoming anniversary. With a group of her closest friends and coworkers, Jackie helped develop the puppet program for the San Diego County Libraries. She greatly enjoyed the 35 years she spent working there. She and her friends loved to entertain children with the puppet stories they created, always laughing and performing wonderful shows. They were in the process of writing a children’s book about their puppet shows, which her friends will now finish. Jackie will be greatly missed by her loving husband Dale; her sister, Dianne Kaderli and husband Roy; her three sons, Wayne Jackson and wife Becky, David Jackson and wife Debbie, and Tim Jackson and wife Cheryl; her eight grandchildren, Shannon Jonas and husband Daniel, Jeremy Jackson and wife Anna, Amanda Jackson, Shannon Peterson and husband Kevin, Shaun Jackson, Brandon Jackson and wife Joruthy, Lisa Janis, and Beth Janis; and 10 great-grandchildren, Tori, Mason, Robert, Landon, Tatum, Jacob, Luke, Trace, Logan, and Zoey. Jackie was also the proud aunt to her nephew and niece, Mark Kaderli and wife Jamie, and Kim Heidi and husband Michael; and great-aunt to Mia, Corin, Daniel, and Katrina.
