Isaac came into the world when his mother was just 19, and together they grew up side by side. From the beginning, he had a way of making connections — as a little boy, he would wave to strangers at stop signs and proudly introduce himself: “Hi, I’m Isaac!” His warmth and joy only grew as he did.
He was raised in Lakeside, California, where he spent much of his childhood at the skate park and summers seeking adventure with his friends. From rope swings and cliff diving to learning back flips that later led him to high school Swim & Dive, Isaac embraced life with courage and laughter. During his three years as a diver, he placed at CIF and proudly advanced to State during his senior year, declaring himself the “Best Diver” among his friends in their playful competitions.
Isaac’s love for thrill and fun never faded. He enjoyed skateboarding, scootering, surfing, bungee jumping, fire blowing, and gathering with friends around beach bonfires. He had a gift for laughter, mischief, and living in the moment.
After graduating, Isaac pursued a career as an electrician. At the time of his passing, he was in his third year of apprenticeship and less than a year away from becoming a journeyman. He worked hard by day and spent evenings on his grandfather’s farm in Rapid City, South Dakota. Isaac was known for his humor on the job and his ability to make others laugh, while still showing dedication to his work and goals.
He was deeply devoted to his girlfriend of three years, Carley Linn, with whom he was building a future. Surrounded by love, purpose, and peace, Isaac was living the kind of life every parent hopes their child will find.
Isaac is survived by his parents; his brother, Ian; his stepbrothers and stepsisters; his grandparents; his aunts, uncles, cousins; and his beloved Carley. His passing leaves an unfillable void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his vibrant spirit.
In Isaac’s memory, may we each cherish life’s moments, show up for the people we love, and carry the sunshine in our souls — just as he did.
