Mary Gail Petersen passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her caring family. Mary Gail joined her husband Thomas D. Petersen who passed away in October 2019. Mary Gail is survived by her sons Donald and Michael Petersen, daughters Laura Nuno, and Theresa Bozhor, her eight grandchildren
Nicholas Nuno, Alexis Whitmore, Benjamin Nuno, Rhett, Devan and Julia Petersen, Dimitrius and Dominick Bozhor, and three great grandchildren, Lilyana Muro, Ellie May Nuno, and Maverick Whitmore.
Mary Gail was born in St. Louis Missouri to Leo and Julia Beerman, younger sister to Donald Beerman, who all passed away years ago. Mary Gail was a lover of sports; especially baseball and basketball and became a golf enthusiast after her kids were grown. Traveling the world to golf with her husband Tom was a highlight in her life. Mary Gail’s greatest accomplishment is the love she gave selflessly to her family and friends over the years. Active in her children's lives she served as the team mom and score keeper for the boy’s baseball teams, was always in attendance and supporting at Terri’s horse shows and was instrumental in helping Laura with Nicholas in the early years. She was everyone's biggest fan, standing behind all her family, especially her husband Tom, providing wind beneath the wings of her loved ones.
Mary Gail loved games and sports. She was an active bridge player, did daily crosswords and later had a large “Words with Friends” group online. She loved going to the casino and playing BlackJack, or any card game with the family. She had a quiet sense of humor that lightened people’s spirits. To meet her was to like her. She built friendships that lasted a lifetime and was a loving aunt. She worked hard giving beautiful parties. A wonderful cook and hostess, she made all holidays special, especially Christmas with homemade bows on Christmas gifts, delicious food and a welcoming attitude. She had a big heart and felt for those less fortunate regularly giving to many charities.
Mary Gail will be sorely missed by many.
