Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Matriarch
With deep love and sorrow, we share the passing of Natalie Arias, who left this world peacefully at the age of 91 on July 26, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family.
Natalie was a vibrant, loving woman who embraced life fully. She had a deep passion for dancing, a warm and generous heart, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone she met. But above all, she loved her nine children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren fiercely and unconditionally. Family was her everything, and she made each member feel truly special and deeply loved.
Born in Rincon, New Mexico and moved to San Diego, California at the age of 12. Natalie built a life centered on family and faith. She shared many years with her first husband, Pete Lopez, and later found love again with her second husband, Chito Arias. Her home was always a welcoming place filled with music, laughter, home cooked meals, and the comforting presence of a strong, steady mother and grandmother.
Natalie battled Alzheimer’s disease for 16 years, facing each day with grace, dignity, and an unshakable spirit. Even as the disease took pieces of her memory, it never took her light. Her love remained constant, and her smile continued to shine through, offering comfort to those around her.
She is survived by her six children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
It was Natalie’s wish to be laid to rest alongside her family in her hometown of Rincón, New Mexico the place where her journey first began.
Natalie lived with joy, danced with passion, and loved without limits. Her legacy is one of strength, family, and enduring love and her memory will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her.
"Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation."
