In loving memory of Robert (Bob) Daniels who was taken from us much too soon on May 20th, 2016 at the young age of 53. He is survived by his loving wife (of 25 years) Debbie Daniels; his sons Conrad and Christopher; and his brother Timothy Daniels.
Bob was born to Mary & Bud Daniels in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was raised in Staten Island. At age 14 his family moved to San Diego where he finished his last year of middle school and went on to graduate from Patrick Henry High School in 1980. He was an avid golfer and captain of the golf team.
He met his wife in 1984 and they were married in 1990. He soon went to work as a landscaper for San Diego Unified School District and continued there for over 30 years. He was appreciated as a very hard worker and was dedicated to his fellow crew members. He built long lasting friendships with many of his co-workers and they were there with him to the end.
He loved spending time with his wife; attending concerts, dinners out at their favorite restaurants, day trips up the coast or through the mountains in his beloved truck and long weekends away to their favorite getaway; Borrego Springs. Many a cozy afternoon was spent at home together watching classic movies and the mysteries he so enjoyed.
He was a devoted, loving dad who was very proud of his sons. He was enjoying watching Conrad grow into an intelligent, independent and strong young man and was very excited about the opportunities being presented to him at this early time in his life.
Bob loved golf, music, good food and good friends. He was a fantastic cook, well known for his delicious homemade spaghetti sauce and baked beans. He enjoyed relaxing after work with friends and acquaintances over a cold beer at the local pub. Many friendships were forged over the years and remain to this day.
He will be remembered as a very sweet, kind and loving man who nurtured his relationships and adored his wife. He was a genuine, compassionate man with a forgiving nature who would always greet you with a smile and a funny, kind word.
He was loved dearly, appreciated greatly and will be missed more than words can express.
Rest in peace you dear, sweet man. We will love you always and forever.
Please join with us in celebration of this wonderful man’s life on Thursday, June 23rd from 5pm to 9pm at The Carlton Oaks Country Club – 9200 Inwood Drive, Santee, CA 92071.
