Alison Melinda Wallace

Alison is the daughter of the late Alan Wallace and Joanne Wallace. She is also survived by her sister Fran Holland and her husband Charles and nephew David. Sister Karen Clark and husband Kevin. The family was a member of Stephen S. Wise Temple in Los Angeles.

Alison’s passion was English Jumper and Dressage. This started in elementary school. Alison was a member of the Pacific Coast Horse Show Association and would travel the English riding competition circuit with her mother and father. She would compete at venues such as Pebble Beach, Santa Barbara and Del Mar California and other major competitions in Arizona and Nevada. Competitions also took them to Calgary, Canada. She and her horses Scandal and Linus won many competitions, culminating with top awards at Madison Square Garden in New York.

After competing in English Riding she began a career in the fashion industry and ultimately in the restaurant Industry. During her career in the restaurant industry. She was a GM for Olive Garden and then Cracker Barrel. Her career with Cracker Barrel eventually brought her to LaGrange, GA. She served as President of the Newcomers of LaGrange for four years and was a member of the Woman’s Club of LaGrange. Alison was a very compassionate person. She always gave more of herself to others than taking care of her own needs. The family hopes this is how she will be remembered.

A memorial ceremony for Alison will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel, 1010 Mooty Bridge Rd, LaGrange, Georgia.
