Mr. Mackey was born April 19, 1926 in Cragford, AL, son of the late Ross Mackey and Lois Freeman Mackey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during which time he served in World War II.
Survivors include his sister, Nell Traylor; several nieces and nephews including Stanley Traylor and Lee (Dana) Traylor; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 12, 2014 in Shadowlawn Cemetery with Reverend Michael Hornsby officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Friday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
