
Mr. Driver was born June 21, 1947 in LaGrange, GA to the late Thomas Young Driver and Johnnie Richardson Driver. He was a 1966 graduate of LaGrange High School and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Campaign. Mr. Driver was a lineman, crew leader, safety coordinator, and staking technician for Diverse Power, before his retirement. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Elm City Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann Driver; daughters, Kim Butler and Penny Meacham; niece, Misty (Matthew) Wolfe; grandchildren, Billy Jacob Butler, Emily Ann Walker, Abby Walker, Colton Meacham; sisters, Carol (Mickey) Grizzard and Jane Ann (Juke) Reaves; nieces and nephews, Emma Wolfe, Mason Wolfe, Kippi Grizzard, Jodi (Wayne) Parmer, Skylar Herren, Tyler Herren, Morgan Parmer, Mitch Parmer; brother-in-law, Joe Gray; sister-in-law, Linda (Stuart) Searcy; other relatives and friends.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Monday, August 15, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Donnie Benefield and Reverend Chuck Redmond officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. Those serving as Pallbearers, Billy Jacob Butler, Greg Phillips, Jake Norton, Matthew Wolfe, John Walker, Clint Bailey, Mark Combs, and Charlie Phillips.
