

Chuck as he was affectionately known, was born December 23, 1951, in LaGrange, GA, son of the late Charles Vineyard Blankenship and Florence Alta Chaffin Blankenship. He received his Master of Business Administration from Troy University. Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Navy about 10 years. During his work tenure, he was a Field Examiner for the Department of Veterans Affairs. He enjoyed watching football, racing and listening to music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Tony Pippin.
He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Elizabeth Blankenship of LaGrange, GA; Carrie’s mother, Barbara Blankenship; brothers, Jeffery C. (Judy) Blankenship of LaGrange, GA and Richard Y. (Theresa) Blankenship of Riviera Beach, FL; a special friend, Margie Rodgers; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, October 27, 2024, in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bill Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Big House (Allman Brothers Museum) in Macon, Georgia.
