Dianna Mae DeCoff of LaGrange, GA completed her earthly mission & was called home on 14 January 2025 at the age of 86. Our hearts are broken but we look forward to the day we’ll be together again. Per Dianna’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. She was cremated at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary of LaGrange, GA.
Dianna was born in 1939 in Flint, Michigan to Robert Gorton & Bernice Mae Cone and was the second eldest of 11 children.
Dianna married Donald Arthur DeCoff on 10 January 1958 in Flint, MI. They were blessed with four children, Linda, Anthony, Kathleen, and Andrew. Dianna and Donald made their home in many states over the course of their lives together: Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
Dianna was a loving & devoted wife and mother. She always put her husband & children first and “would give you the shirt off her back” as her husband was fond of saying. She always had time for her children and was the best mom by all standards. She taught them many life skills such as ironing, sewing, cooking, and cleaning to name just a few. Dianna loved to cook and bake and was happiest when preparing meals for family gatherings and other occasions. The Golden Corral, Farmhouse, and Western Steer restaurants were just a few places Dianna worked where she was able to share her love of cooking.
Dianna is survived by Donald, her husband of 67 years, children, Linda Shattuck (Rex) of Sundance, WY, Anthony (Allyson) of Columbus, GA, Kathleen Ratliff of Americus, GA, and Andrew of Fitzgerald, GA. Grandchildren Justin (Catia), Caulin (Paige), B.J., Brad, Heather, Jeremy, Zachary, Paul (Toni), and Amanda (Joseph). Siblings Judith Harkness, Sharon Doughty (Bruce), Darwin (Sharon), Doug, Deborah Fuserio (Rick), Donald (Darla), Marsha Jackson, many nieces, nephews, and her beloved cat, Sitka.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Robert (Bob) and Jack (Leroy), sister Sandra Kilbride, grandson Blake DeCoff and son-in-law Daniel Ratliff.
