I am so very sorry to learn that Donnie died.  He was a very special "second cousin" to me.  Donnie was such a gentle person, and cared deeply about others.  Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My wife, Linda and I remember Donnie so well from our Georgia Southwestern days. The first thing we both remember about my fraternity brother, Donnie, was his sweet spirit. He was one of the kindest people I’ve known. Suzanne, we remember you fondly too. Praying for God’s peace and comfort for you and family.

Mr. Jackson was one of the kindest gentleman. He will be missed by many that had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. My condolences and prayers for his family. 

Mr. Jackson worked tirelessly helping students at WGTC for many years. He was a great friend to me and our coworkers. Many students loved him and depended on his expertise in writing.  Mr. Jackson was a true blessing to everyone he met. He will be missed. Thank you for sharing him with me and the students.


Donnie and I were classmates beginning in Bacon County Elementary School back in the early fifties.  We  went through school together,  graduating in the Bacon County High School Class of 1965. I remember him as always being one of the nicest boys in school, always friendly to everyone he met.
Although I didn't see him many times after high school, I always considered it a pleasure the few times I  saw him and had a chance to  reminisce our school days together. 
I pray for Donnie 's family to hold on to their precious memories of him as they continue on with their lives,  holding to the God-given promise that they will be able to see him again some glorious day on Heaven's bright shore. 

Suzanne, so sorry for your loss! You and family are in my thoughts and prayers! 
Donnie and I were pledge and fraternity brothers. Will always remember the trials we went through to enter fraternity life! Dick and Waters Creek in north GA. was one of many escapeds! 
 He is with his celestial brothers! AEKDB brother!

Rest in peace my friend and fraternity brother...

Donnie and I shared some great times together over the years and he had a heart of gold... 

Suzanne and family, I am deeply sorry for your loss, and may God bless all of you.  DJ will be missed but is in the supreme place with his Lord and Savior.

Suzanne and family, I am so sad about Donnie. We were classmates at BCHS. He played basketball for the Raiders and I played for then the Raiderettes.  There  are so many memories from that time and the class reunions.   I prayed for him every day and will continue to pray for you during this sad time. 

When I first met Don (Old Man Jackson!) at West Ga Tech, I thought he was just another English teacher who would probably be ok to work with. Then....when he did his Ernest T Bass impression, I knew I had a friend.  Over the years, he never failed to make me laugh...as Barney Fife would say..."He was a nut!".  He loved his family and his friends, and he loved tutoring English.  He will be missed.
