
Mrs. King was born October 5, 1917 in Macon, GA, daughter of the late Thomas Dawson Jordan and Nell Doris Willis Jordan. She was a 1935 graduate of Palm Beach High School and was a former member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach, FL. Mrs. King was a former member of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches and a non-resident member of Chapter AA-PEO Sisterhood. She was retired as a real estate broker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carson King, Jr., and brothers, T.D. Jordan, Lee Jordan, and Vernon Jordan.
Survivors include three children, Marty King Young (Ken) of LaGrange, GA, Joseph Hamilton King (Kathy) of Lake Martin, AL, and Thomas Jordan King (Haden Hodges) of Roswell, GA; three grandchildren, Christopher Hamilton Young (Maggie) of Little Rock, AR, Carson McKendree Young of LaGrange, GA, and Spring Ellen Boren of Lake Worth, FL; one great grandchild, Christopher Finley Young of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Edward Lawrence Jordan (Peggy) of Tempe, AZ and Victor Willis Jordan of Nashville, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange with Dr. Harold Lawrence officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church.
