
Mrs. Cook was born February 19, 1921 in Barnesville, GA, daughter of the late Paul Daniel Bryan, Sr. and Florrie Yarbrough Bryan. She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and was a homemaker and took loving care of her family for 66 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin P. Cook, Jr.
Mrs. Cook was a former member of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange where she taught the Primary 3 Sunday School Class and was also a member of the Mary Will Thompson Sunday School Class and the Altar Guild. She later became a member of Long Cane United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and is currently an active member of First Baptist Church on the Square. Mrs. Cook was a member of the LaGrange College Faculty Wives Club and loved gardening and traveling.
Survivors include her two sons, Austin P. Cook, III and Daniel B. Cook; and one brother, Paul Daniel Bryan, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at First Baptist Church on the Square with Dr. Paul Baxter, Reverend Jerry Ledbetter, Dr. Quincy Brown, and Dr. Gil Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Cook Scholarship Fund, 601 Broad Street, LaGrange, GA 30240 or the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes Pineland Campus, 2048 Youngs Mill Road, LaGrange, GA 30241 in memory of Mrs. Eleanor B. Cook.
