

Mr. Taylor was born February 23, 1944 in LaGrange, GA, son of the late Robert and Arnelle Gore Taylor. He was an Alumni of the University of Georgia, where he received his BA degree. Before retirement, Bob was employed with Tenneco Company as a Motivational Speaker. During his tenure at UGA, he scored the winning touchdown to defeat Alabama in 1965, with the famous “Flea-Flicker” play. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Dick Taylor.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Taylor (Brett) Stewart; grandson, Brock Stewart; siblings, Beth Taylor McDonald, Jo Taylor (Dan) Payne, Mal (Lita) Taylor, Flor Taylor, Hope (Debra) Taylor, and Martin (Carolyn) Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Hope Taylor officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 P.M to 4:00 P.M prior to the service time. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Robert “Bob” Taylor.
