Emma Lee "Jo" Goddard

Mrs. Goddard was born August 18, 1945 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Theodore “Ted” Orange and Loette Owens Orange. She was Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America and attended the Wood Badge Training. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lela Faye Orange.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. John Goddard of LaGrange; son, Shayne Goddard and his wife, Sonya Goddard, of LaGrange; daughter, Buffie Goddard and her husband, Bill Webb, of Thompson Station, TN; three grandchildren, Parker Webb, Sydney Goddard, and Meaghan Goddard; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend David Simmons and Reverend Benjie Dukes officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home, Pineland/Camp Pioneer, P.O. Box 2907, LaGrange, GA 30241 in memory of Mrs. Emma Lee “Jo” Goddard.

The family will be gathering at the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home, Pullen Center/Gym, 1900 Youngs Mill Road, LaGrange, GA 30240.
