Eunice Carr

Eunice was a graduate of Agnes Scott College and earned her master's degree from Auburn University. She dedicated many years to education, serving as a respected teacher in both Atlanta and LaGrange. A faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange, she was also actively involved in numerous genealogical societies and historical associations, reflecting her passion for preserving history and family heritage.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnnie Carr, and her parents, Steve and Eunice Connally.

Eunice will be remembered for her dedication to education, her commitment to her community, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew and loved her.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Committal services will follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 5971 Mt. Carmel Road, Gay, Georgia 30218.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends, caregivers, and loved ones who provided Eunice with love, support, and care throughout the years. Your kindness and compassion meant so much to her and to those who loved her.
