I only knew Freddy just 8 short days before his death but he left a footprint on my heart and I will never forget him.  His smile, laughter and love of life really touched me. I only wish God had given me just a little more time with him to get to know him better but it’s not up to me to question God. So I want to send my condolences and prayers to all his family. He was a one of a kind. Like a comet he shot across every body’s life and heart and he will never be FORGOTTEN.  

Freddy and me back in 2000 working in Louisiana. I will all ways cherish the 23 years memories 16 of them working side by side from sun up to sun down and some time through the night. I love Freddy and I'll miss you every day till we meet again.


Summer 2001 will forever be some of the best summer memories I have of me and my step dad Freddy.  From the time I was 17 until I was 44, you were there for me.  I could count on you in any time of trouble to be right there.  This particular summer we spent every weekend on the boat and it was one of my best summers.  It's day 4 and I don't see how the world keeps turning but yet you're gone.  I love you forever Freddy.  

One of many Thanksgivings at Nanny and Papas.  They accepted you as their bonus son and loved you so much.  You were the best papa my son has ever known.  You spent a lot of time with him teaching him how to fish, taking him to rock climbing events in the jeep, monster jam events, weekends on the lake, and if nothing else was going on just hanging out at your and mom's house while he played and made his play city with his hot wheels called Jason City.   You quickly reminded him it was called Mason City!  Lol.   So many good memories that we will cherish forever.  
I have a baby that hasn't met you yet but I promise he will know of you.  He will know you as "Papa Freddy" too.  He will hear all about you and how to Pacey you walked on water. We Love You.  We Miss You terribly.  

Oh uncle Freddy, so many of my childhood memories were made with you and Aunt Robin and my cousins. I remember laughing so hard at the rivalry between you and nanny’s dog, Daisy. I always loved that even as a kid, I could talk about race cars with you. You held our family together during times of loss, and ALWAYS defended my aunt Robin fervently and with love. You drove my baby home to me from Mom and Aunt Robin’s house last summer, and you gave her advice she’ll never forget. I can imagine now that Papa is giggling while Nanny is fussing at you for riding that motorcycle. We love you and will miss you.  Be good up there, but give ‘em hell.

We are an active duty family and are all too familiar with loosing very special people. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Fred S. Mason Jr.  in this tragic time. We are especially lifting up his sister, Kaye, in our prayers. Please let us know how to help all the way from Germany to Georgia...

I will never forget this day we were at the dragstrip and if you knew Freddie yup he was yelling  cut his hand taillights flew off when he launched  that dang ole yellow mustang everbody laughing good times gonna miss ole flat foot Freddie and all the good times never a dull moment  ..  love ya brother ...  rip .. I don’t have a dull memory of you. No matter what I was going through, you always put a smile on my face and gave the tightest hugs. I will miss the late nights, you tinkering with something in the garage, and playing with all my kiddos who adored you as much you adored them. You will always have a place in our heart and we will miss you terribly. I know you will be with us until we meet again. Love you Freddy❣️❣️
