Gladys Cardwell Watson

Mrs. Watson was born January 8, 1927 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Ruben J. Cardwell and Mary L. Chatham Cardwell. She was employed with Callaway Mills and Milliken and Company before retiring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Cardwell Yearwood, a brother, Marshall Joe Cardwell, and a great niece, Tiffany Cardwell.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Eloise Cardwell; son, Charles Lewis Watson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren in the LaGrange, GA and Amarillo, TX area; nieces, Connie (Rick) Hinkle and Diane (Chris) Zenas; nephews, Mike Cardwell and Freddie (Valerie) Cardwell; great nieces, Cara Hinkle and Michelle Cardwell; great nephews, Michael (Renee) Hinkle, Josh (Krystal) Cardwell, and Justin (Tiffany) Cardwell; great great niece, Adalyn Cardwell; great great nephews, Mason Lanier and Logan Lanier.

Graveside funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. today, March 23, 2015 in Shadowlawn Cemetery with Reverend Donnie Benefield officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Monday from 2:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice LaGrange in memory of Mrs. Gladys Cardwell Watson.
