

Mr. Dunn was born October 21, 1931 in Chipley, GA, son of the late Milton B. Dunn and Frances Noell Dunn. He and his late brother, Samuel Dunn, owned and operated Dunn Truck and Tractor in LaGrange for over 50 years. Mr. Dunn was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Durand.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Traylor Dunn of Durand; children, Trae and Carol Dunn of Greenville, Tonya and Mark Kilgore of Alexandria, AL, and Todd and Cathy Dunn of Columbus; grandchildren, T.J. and Heather Dunn, Jennifer Dunn, Megan Kilgore, Sarah Kilgore, Andrew Kilgore, Austin Dunn, and Katelyn Dunn; great-grandchildren, Katheryn and Noah Dunn; a sister, Quenelle Burnes of Madison, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Trinity United Methodist Church, Durand, Georgia with the Reverend Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service of Hugh Edward Dunn are Shannon Becham, Lee Becham, Dave Whitley, Myron Threadgill, Jon Brisendine, David Fitch, and Chester Burnes. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Dr. Bill Couch, Robert Crowder, and Bill Crowder.
The family will receive friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 25 Palm Lane, Warm Springs, GA 31830 in memory of Hugh Edward Dunn.
