

He was born in Bessemer, AL on September 15, 1950. ‘Joe’ as he was known by those who knew him was a first class joke teller, and philosopher of humor. He was a true hearted NASCAR fan, a real fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr, and an ALABAMA ‘Roll Tide’ football fan. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army. He served one tour in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. He was a lifetime member of the local VFW and served as Quartermaster for four years 2005-2009. He was an ASE certified master mechanic. He operated his own service station in LaGrange prior to his retirement. He knew his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and walked with Him daily.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Rosemary Fling Little; five children; Jeffrey Gill of LaGrange, Michelle Conklin of Jacksonville, FL, Karla Little (Nolan) Childs of LaGrange, Joseph Carlton (Cindy) Little, Jr. of Pine Mountain, and Danielle Elizabeth Little of LaGrange; seven grandchildren, Mason Little, Savannah Wohler, Trinity Wohler, Harlie Gill, Garner Little, Tyler, Hannah, Amber, and Wesley Conklin; Aunts and Uncles, Louise and Harlan Morrow and Roger and Sandra Rich of Mississippi; brothers, Kenny Little of Mississippi and Robert Evans of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with Rev. Lynda Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Disabled American Veterans or the American Heart Association in memory of Joseph C. Little , Sr.
