Joseph James Parello

Mr. Parello was born December 28, 1919 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Vincent Parello and Anna Lazzara Parello. He attended First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain and was employed with Cherry Electric as a tool and die maker. Mr. Parello was a professional musician and was a Mason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Duane Schwolow, two brothers, Louis Parello and John Parello, and a sister, Theresa Sojka.

Survivors include his wife, Nina C. Parello of Pine Mountain, GA; three children, Joan Stefan (Richard) of Elkhorn, WI, June “Cookie” Schwolow (Mike) of Oak Harbor, WA, and Paul Parello of Palatine, IL; eight grandchildren, Brenda Stefan, Debra MacArthur, Lance Schwolow, Tina Hurt, Tracy White, Shannon Emanuelson, Jamie Sharp, and Paul Parello, Jr.; eight great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Madison, Stone, Magnolia Rain, Grey, Glenn, Elizabeth, and Megan; sister, Susan Glab; and brother, Anthony Parello, both of IL.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. today, October 30, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain with Reverend Wayne Hester officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Mountain City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain, Music Program.
