Judith Patricia Childs

Judith was born September 13, 1949, in Jacksonville, FL to the late Maurice Carl Golding Sr. and Jesse Mae Stancil Golding.

She is survived by her sons, Jamie (Tina) Houze and Timothy Childs; grandchildren, Haileigh Houze, Jenna Houze, Alexis (Reese) Childs and Mercedes Childs; siblings, Debbie Umberhant, Maurice Golding, Gail Turner and Janice Edmondson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Morgan Childs and sister, Patricia Smith.

Judith was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent most of her career with Publix where she retired. She enjoyed cooking and helping others. She was a member of Baptist Tabernacle in LaGrange.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Judith will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange, GA following the service.
