Lera Frances Humphrey

Mrs. Humphrey was born September 7, 1932 in Heard County, GA to the late James “Buddy” Zollie Walker and Ollie Bell Brown Walker. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and retired after several years as a Quality Control Technician for a glass plant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. (Ret) Raymond Humphrey; daughter, Shirley Gaylor; son, Randall McGinnis; and brother, JL Walker.

Survivors include her special son-in-law, Wayne Gaylor; granddaughter, Danielle (Keith) Ballenger; 3 great grandchildren, Ashley Copelan, Scott Copelan, and Mason Ballenger; two sisters, Marett Landers Brown and Christine Howard; one niece, four nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of family and friends will be 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. The Life Celebration Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Doug Bingham officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
