Mr. Parker was born July 30, 1935 in Wedowee, AL, son of the late Ethel Horton Parker and Charlie Parker. He was a member of Dunson Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Parker; son, James L. Parker; and grandson, James B. Wingo, IV.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail (Phil) Crawford and DeLaine Bailey; son, Wayne (Susan) Godfrey; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. August 6, 2014 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Greg Brown and Reverend Clay Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home
Flowers will be accepted or donations to Hospice LaGrange may be made in memory of Mr. Lewis H. Parker.
