Mrs. Thompson was born October 31, 1943 in Clanton, AL to the late Odis and Aline Cummings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory James Mize. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Billy Joe Thompson Sr.; daughters Debra McGuffin, Gayla Miller, Bobbie Delin (Marty) Spears and step-son Billy (Tiffany) Thompson; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange GA with Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn cemetery in LaGrange GA. The gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 6:00 P.M. to 8 P.M. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
