Margaret Powell Tucci

Marge was born Friday, October 26, 1923 in Tryon, North Carolina, daughter of the late China and Walter Powell. She grew up in Landrum, South Carolina on a farm with 10 siblings and her horse Loge. She attended college in Ashville, NC where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Business degree. She proceeded to work at the USO where she met her late husband of 64 years. She lovingly devoted her life to her family, church and community. If ever there was a person in need Marge was there; usually with food. Marge never met a stranger and she touched countless lives. She will be missed by all who knew her and is now home with her husband and our Lord.

Marge was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Albert John Tucci.

Survivors include: five children, Mary Wolsifer, Judith Terry (Ken), John Tucci, Robert Tucci and Suzanne Jones (Scottie) of LaGrange; a brother, Otis Powell;

thirteen grandchildren, Kimberley Rodgers, Michelle Terry-Jabluszewski, Christopher Wolsifer (Tracey), Todd Wolsifer, Heather Pape (Darin), Michael Terry (Crystal), Albert Tucci, BJ Jones (Taylor), Jacob Tucci, Matthew Tucci, Lincoln Jones (Cassidy), Andrea Wuensch (Sean), Robbie Tucci;

twenty two great-grandchildren, Jordon Perry, Samantha Smigel (Will), Jessica McCartan, Alexandra Wolsifer, Joshua Rodgers, Angelina Jabluszewski, Matthew Gilson, Christopher Wolsifer Jr., Meghan Wolsifer, Caitlyn Wolsifer, Kathryn Wuensch, Isabella Pape, Vyden Terry, Ben Jones, Kaelyn Terry, Evie Wuensch, Caroline Jones, Catherine Jones, Zylah Terry, Zayden Terry, Foster Jones and Baby Jones on the way and one great-great-grandchild, Rowan McCartan.

The family will receive friends at St. Peter’s Catholic Church from Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. The rosary will be said at 12:45pm. A funeral mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Timothy A Gadziala officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, or West Georgia Hospice in memory of Margaret (Marge) Powell Tucci.
