Marie B. Koenig

Mrs. Koenig was born May 31, 1919 in Saline County, AR, daughter of the late William Earnest Brown and Annie Pearl Bundt Brown. She was a homemaker and founding member of Pampa Bible Church of Pampa, TX. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Koenig was preceded in death by her husband Charles Koenig, son Ted Koenig, daughter-in-law Barbara Koenig, grandson Robert Koenig, and 8 brothers and sisters. She was a greatest generation proud American and lived by those values.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Charlene Cox of Dallas, TX, June Stilwell and her husband, Dan, of Sand Springs, OK, and Carol Strickland and her husband, Ruben, of LaGrange, GA; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 17 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date in Pampa, TX.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Cal Farleys Boys Ranch in Amarillo, TX, or a charity of choice in memory of Mrs. Marie B. Koenig.
