Marsha was born in Waycross, GA, to the late Leon Howard Freeman Sr. and Helen Louise Bargeron Freeman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Leon Howard Freeman Jr. and Frank Kirkland Freeman (Marsha’s Ray of Sunshine).
Marsha was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She spent her life caring for others and her career as a Registered Nurse. Growing up, she was a member of the Girl Scouts of America where she achieved the highest award of a Curved Bar. She spent her life serving unconditionally and was the first to call, send cards and assist anyone who needed encouraging or care. She was an artist in her own right and crocheted countless blankets over the years for so many hospice patients and families. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange where she enjoyed being part of the choir. She will be missed by many, but we all are grateful for the life she lived and the legacy she has left behind.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (John) Kendall Gibbons and Julianne (Billy) Lynn Skipper; grandchildren, Blade Kendall and fiancé’ Rose Chappell, Holliday Lynn and Susannah Lynn; former husband, John Holliday; sister, Linda Nessmith and other relatives and friends including The Bridge Club.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Ga.
