Michael was one of a kind. He would always say that he was heartless, but everyone that knew him knew that wasn't true. He was one of the most caring persons I have ever met. He always asked about my dad and my sister. He was always looking for a way to help my sister with her anxiety. He was the most dependable driver I had, even when he didnt couldn't drive his car, he would try to get to work on his bike... true story. He rode his bike for two hours to get to work and then called me to tell me he would be there in another 2 hours... I sent a driver to pick him up. He is dearly missed.

My husband worked with Michael and I would often drop by to visit everyone. Over the course of doing that for 6 years Michael finally bestowed upon me one of his unique greetings and welcomes just for me, as his did with many at work. I will miss his wave hello and taking about his paintings. We have a lighthouse painting by him hanging in our living room that we will continue to admire. He will be missed by many.

"when my heart is faint, lead me to the rock that is higher than I" Psalm 61:2

Although we were working on it, I so wish Michael and I had a better relationship. So many years we didn't speak or argued. After the death of our father, we finally figured out how to talk to each other like brother and sister, and I will miss that....

In eternal life, may you finally have the peace you always wanted, and needed. Rest in peace my brother, rest in peace.

I met Mike way back in High School and we instantly became friends because we had the same philosophy on life. We also liked the same movies and music and watched certain movies so often that we were able to quote lines from memory. It was like an inside joke that we had between each other.

There are many more memories that would require much more space than allowed here but I just want to say that I am fortunate to have counted Michael Black among my small handful of best friends.

My regret is being far away and not being able to visit more often as we got older. However I have very good memory of reconnecting with Mike a few years ago (I believe it was 2017) and it was just like continuing a conversation that started all those years ago in high school. We grew up but we still had that connection. I’ll miss you old friend!

My condolences to your friends and family.

I worked with Michael @ pizza hut for a few years. Underneath his demeanor was the kindest person who would do anything for a friend. Work will NEVER be the same and i can’t believe and probably will never believe that 10 days ago he was his usual self and just like that he’s not around to talk to, laugh with etc..... miss you

I will always remember Mike fondly a fun, unique young man. He loved my chocolate chip cookies and any food that I made for him when he and Bob came to watch a Sunday football game with John. Rest in peace, Mike. Mrs. "C."
