Faye was born June 2, 1959, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Charlie Paul Mulkey and Lottie Smith Mulkey.
She was born and raised in the Liberty Hill community in Troup County Georgia. She later made her way to live in Phoenix, Az and was a successful Master Florist for many years. She brightened the days of many of her clients with her beautiful flower arrangements and unique design. Eventually, she made her way back to her childhood home in Liberty Hill where she was surrounded by a community that is known for their love and support of one another.
She was a caregiver to the elderly, the sick and those less fortunate than her. Faye loved to read, had a great love for beautiful flowers, hummingbirds and the outdoors. She was a hard worker and those that knew her best described her as outgoing and dependable with a great sense of humor.
Faye is survived by her son; Nicholas Charles Thornton and his wife Cindy; daughter, Michelle Harrison and her husband Jake Gregory; grandchildren, Audrey Ruth Harrison, MacKenzie Ashlin Thornton, Jacob Brice Gregory, Landen Tab Harrison and his wife Bailee, Brent Tony Gregory and Allie Elizabeth Harrison; brother, Harold Mulkey and his wife Sue; beloved cousin and best friend, Linda Rhoney and Linda’s children, Clark Rhoney and his wife Trina and daughter Emma, Robin Hudgins and her husband Jeffrey Hudgins and their son Will.
Words to remember Faye by: “when you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years, because we are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.”
