Shonn was born September 16, 1971 in Meridian, MS, son of Gladys Ruth Fuller Barefield and the late Walter Frank Patterson. He was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square and was self-employed as a painter.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Gladys Barefield, include his daughter, Roxanne (Chase) Crawford; siblings, Karla (Chuck) Harris, Dennis (Tracy) Patterson, Lamar (Sudie) Crouch, and Erik Patterson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. today, February 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be today from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
