William Reid Lynch

Mr. Lynch was born December 16, 1927 in LaGrange, GA, son of the late W.G. Lynch and Ivory Lynch. He served in the United States Army then married the love of his life, Doris Marie Ledford. He began his career in textiles at Callaway Mills and retired from Milliken and Company 45 years later. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Lynch; four sisters, four brothers, grandson, Jeromy Lynch and a son-in-law, Mike Bowen.

Survivors include five children, Linda (Jimmy) Barnes; Brenda Bowen; Randy (Debbie) Lynch; Chet (Bobbie Jo) Lynch; Shannon (Jennifer) Lynch and a brother-in-law, Paul Ledford; grandchildren, Sean (Cathi) Barnes, Kevin (Kathy) Bowen, Jenna (Jacob) Rice, Cody Lynch, Jordan Redden, and Paisley Lynch; five great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00pm and the Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, February 7, 2018 with Rev. S.T. Janney officiating.

The family would like to extend a great appreciation for the staff and caregivers at Poplar Creek as well as West Georgia Hospice and Nurse Pam.
